Following Roger Goodell’s footsteps, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman just handed out a big fine and suspension to members of the Washington Capitals. Alex Ovechkin along with three of his teammates, Dmitry Orlov, Evgeny Kuznetsov and, Ilya Samsonov.
They were claimed to have congregated in a single hotel room without masks resulting in each of them receiving a four-game suspension.

Opinion:
This doesn’t make sense to me at all. I get why James Harden gets fined for going to a crowded Gentleman’s club, but four guys chilling in a hotel room? This shouldn’t make the virus more deadly than on the bench or in the locker room. I’m not alone with this opinion as Ovi’s wife, Nastya released a statement of her own (in the above tweet).
Great to see a woman sticking up for her man to the league. She dropped a bomb on everyone exposing that Ovi and Orlov have Covid antibodies. I’m not a doctor, but antibodies have to be recognized by pro sports leagues. Not a single player from this suspension list was noted to have actually contracted the virus. The Stars and Hurricanes had to miss games because players got COVID-19, while the Washington Capitals are playing tomorrow night without four key guys.
Washington Capitals vs Buffalo Sabres
The Sabres take on the Caps twice this weekend it will be a clean sweep. Tonight’s game will be tough for the Caps to adjust to the new lineup.
The Sunday game will be a hype up game for the city of Buffalo. Jack Eichel and Taylor Hall are both passionate members of Bills-mafia and they understand the importance of this weekend to the city of Buffalo.
