This year is filled with head to head battles for the reigning spot atop the best at their side of the ball. Again, NFL fans see two names separate themselves from the rest making it that much harder to pick a winner for this category.
Xavien Howard had a phenomenal season with the Dolphins, leading the NFL in Interceptions (10), Pass deflections (20), one Forced fumble, and over 150 Solo Tackles. He was the leader of arguably one of the better defenses in the league at certain points in the season.
T.J. Watt’s unbelievable finesse and power moves at the line of scrimmage against double teams was admirable. Watt will most likely take after Donald and win a couple straight of this award.
