Patrick Mahomes, who was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs and is from Texas Tech, will be playing in his 2nd NFL Super Bowl this Sunday. He’ll take on the current G.O.A.T Tom Brady who is with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after spending the entirety of his career in New England.

Can Patrick Mahomes do what Tom Brady did? Make it to 10 Super Bowls and end up winning 6 of them, or could he do even better?

Here’s the breakdown:

Arm Talent

Patrick Mahomes is known as the most talented QB in the NFL. He has a rocket as an arm and can throw anywhere on the field, no matter where he is, or even looking at the receiver. He is an electric player and has the skill to make a run just as Tom Brady did.

Running Ability

He isn’t Lamar Jackson but boy can Mahomes escape the pocket and take off. That’s what makes it even harder for defenses when you have a guy who can make any throw and also run all over you.

Weapons

His weapons also don’t help opposing defenses. Tyreek Hill is the fastest player in the NFL by far and is a huge weapon for Mahomes. Travis Kelce is the best Tight End in football and just makes plays no matter the circumstances. Not to mention Sammy Watkins and Mecole Hardman, who are quality NFL WR’s and have speed attached to their name.

Competition

No one has been able to compete with the Chiefs other than the Raiders, and that was a bad game for the Chiefs. They will continue to make it to the AFC Championship every year if no one in the AFC makes a splash move to catch up with the Chiefs.

Clutch Ability

There’s almost no one more clutch than Patrick Mahomes, other than Tom Brady. Anytime they go down big, Mahomes takes it into the next gear and gets the job done. Down 24-0 and ending up winning 51-31 is something you just don’t see. Mahomes passed for 321 yards and 5 Touchdowns to help secure the win.

Conclusion

Patrick Mahomes will be known as one of the greatest QB’s of all time by the end of his career. If the Chiefs keep their offensive core intact I could see them making a run like no other in history. The possibility of Mahomes doing so could go up if they win the Super Bowl this Sunday against the Buccaneers.
