The MLB is full of talented players, but who will crack the top ten on my list? Here are my top ten players in the MLB.

10. Shane Bieber, Cleveland Indians

Now, this may be considered a hot take. Yes, I know it was only a 60 game season. However, I feel as though Shane Bieber is the real deal. His level of dominance in 2020 went unmatched, Bieber walked his way to a Cy Young Award, which he won unanimously. Bieber also came 4th in AL MVP voting that year. In 2020 Bieber led the majors in pitching WAR, ERA strikeouts, ERA+, FIP, and SO/9. Bieber was tied for first in wins with 8 as well.

Bieber led the American League in H/9. In 2019 and in BB/9. Bieber came 4th in Cy Young voting in 2019. I know it’s only been 12 starts, but I feel like Bieber will continue to dominant in 2021. Bieber should be the ace of Cleveland for the foreseeable future. Some may say it’s too soon to put him here, it’s up to Bieber to prove me right.

9. Gerrit Cole, New York Yankees

Gerrit Cole was ranked the second-best starting pitcher in the major leagues on MLB Network’s “top ten starting pitchers right now” list. Since 2018 Cole, has been one of the most dominant pitchers in the game. Cole is a strikeout machine. He led the league with an incredible 326 strikeouts in 2019. Cole led the American League in ERA that year as well.

Gerrit Cole was ranked the 2nd best starting pitcher in the game by MLB Network. In 2020 he got off to an underwhelming start. But he dominated as the shortened season progressed. Cole finished 4th in Cy Young voting for his efforts. He had a respectable ERA of 2.84, a WHIP of 0.96, and a pitching WAR of 2.2. The Yankees ace will continue to dominate at an incredible level in 2021.
