Markus Golden has resigned to a 2-year, nine-million-dollar deal. Markus Golden spent his first four years of his NFL career in Arizona and then found his way in New York with the Giants. Golden was traded back to Arizona around the trade deadline from the Giants.
Since 2018 Golden has 145 total pressures, which is 15th among all edge rushers. Golden is a talented edge rusher who had his best season with the Giants in 2019. In 2019 Golden produced ten sacks and was a vast production piece for the Giants. After being traded during the deadline, he had 4.5 sacks.
This is an excellent signing for Arizona, primarily due to them having two other edge rushers such as J.J Watt and Chandler Jones. Hasson Reddick is supposed to be hitting the free-agent market, but his production most likely won’t be missed with Golden coming back.
Arizona seems to be all in and very active for this Superbowl run. Mainly due to them being in one of the toughest divisions in football. With being alongside Watt and Jones, he will most likely be a rotational piece. This is a great piece to have defensively if Arizona wants to make some noise.
