French youngster Kylian Mbappe is already one of the best players in the world. He’s made a Champions League final appearance, won a World Cup, and has already established himself as a dominant forward in Europe.

However, he may look to leave PSG this summer due to poor team performances and an unchallenging league. The Frenchman has a host of clubs all eyeing him that will surely make a move this summer. Mbappe will have a difficult decision this summer which will determine if he remains in France or seeks to join a different club.

Why Mbappe May Leave

Despite scoring a staggering 18 goals thus far this season, PSG hasn’t held up to expectations. Currently struggling in Ligue 1 and in second place, the French Giants have been outperformed far too often. The young talent can only do so much to keep his side competitive in France and may look to find a team that offers more slack.

Along with this, Mbappe is playing in a less-than-competitive league. Ligue 1 holds far too many subpar teams that don’t challenge Kylian Mbappe. Widely regarded as the fifth-best league in the world, the French division is far from perfect. The French talent may look to challenge himself in a more competitive division like the Premier League or La Liga.

What It Would Take For PSG To Keep Him

Kylian Mbappe doesn’t have one foot out the door yet. There’s still a good chance fans see him playing in France next season. However, PSG must do something to keep things that way. Before anything, the French Giants need to get their act together in Ligue 1.

Finishing in any position other than first will undoubtedly frustrate the inverted winger. The hiring of Mauricio Pochettino was an interesting way of doing this and fans are yet to see if he’s the key to securing a domestic league title.

Although winning Ligue 1 will be helpful, finishing strong in the Champions League is beneficial. Mbappe needs to be convinced that his club is destined for greatness and that he is in the best environment to win the Champions League as it is.

Last season, the Parisians made it all the way to the finals before falling to an invincible Bayern Munich side. If Kylian Mbappe’s side can produce the same results or even win the entire championship, he’ll surely be convinced into staying.

Where Mbappe Can Go

Kylian Mbappe won’t be lacking options this summer. Just about every high-level team will make an attempt at bringing in the 22-year-old. However, some options certainly stand out already.

Real Madrid

It’s no secret Los Merengues have been massive fans of the Frenchman for a while now. Building around him would surely bring success to their side for years to come. With no shortage of money, they have the luxury of throwing money at PSG until they get their man.

However, it could be intriguing to see a potential swap deal sending out of favor winger Eden Hazard to France. This could benefit all parties involved as PSG will receive a superstar along with some money and Real Madrid can add one of the best prospects in the world to their roster.

Liverpool

Liverpool has also been scouting Mbappe for some time now. The Reds have suffered this season due to injuries and a lack of motivation as of late. However, bolstering their attack with Kylian Mbappe would change everything.

Although bringing him in will mean getting rid of one of the pieces of their offensive trident of Robert FirmiƱo, Sadio Mane, and Mohammed Salah, it may be worth it. An electrifying forward line including Mbappe would easily bring them the Premier League, as well as potentially even the Champions League.

Juventus

Last on this list is a dark horse team to bag the young winger. With Cristiano Ronaldo likely gone this summer, Juventus will have no lack of funds to bring in Mbappe. Kylian Mbappe with this young Juventus side would be dangerous. A forward line with him, Federico Chiesa, and Dejan Kulusevski would be devastating for opposing teams’ defensive lines for years to come.

Serie A has been slowly becoming more and more competitive and this year, everything has come together to make the Italian Championship one of, if not the most fascinating league to watch. Juventus will struggle to convince Mbappe to come to join the Bianconeri however you shouldn’t rule them out just yet.
