Recently, the Brooklyn Nets acquired Blake Griffin after he was bought out by the Detroit Pistons. Griffin has not played a game yet for the Nets but it will be interesting to see how big his impact will be. One other storyline will be can Blake Griffin win his first title as the fourth option on this Nets super-team?
Will Blake Griffin revamp his Career?
With only a couple of months left before the playoffs, the new-look Nets will have time to mold their new roster. Even with the absence of Kevin Durant for the past couple of weeks and Blake Griffin, the Nets look terrific and are most definitely title contenders. Blake Griffin will play a big role on the Nets team. This will be the case even if it doesn’t come in the form of being a top scorer.
Although his numbers are down this year I think it was mostly due to Blake not wanting to be in Detroit. If he wanted to be in Detroit he would have put more effort but clearly wanted out because of their sluggish roster. On this Nets team with championship aspirations, Blake Griffin put in his best performances night in and night out. I am certain that he will do whatever the team needs whether it’s rebounding, scoring, or playmaking. I truly think Blake Griffin will revamp his career and may win his first NBA title.
Will the Nets win the NBA title?
Through the Midway point of the season, I believe that the Nets have the best chances to win the finals. With their three-headed monster of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden they seem unstoppable. They also have amazing depth in solid role players like Joe Harris and Nicholas Claxton. The only team that could be somewhat of a threat for the Nets is the Bucks. The only reason I believe this is because of their solid matchups. However, I don’t like any team will be getting close to this powerhouse and one of the West’s top teams in the Lakers or Clippers will have to take the Nets down.
