The next stop for the NASCAR Cup Series will be the Drydene 400 at the Monster Mile in Dover. This is a race that is marked on the schedule of many fans and it has easily become a fan favorite. It is a race where Miles the Monster looms at every corner and carnage may soon follow. It is the only trip to Dover in 2021 due to the schedule shakeup and this will be a very highly anticipated race.
Looking back at 2020, the last time the NASCAR Cup Series ran at Dover was a doubleheader weekend. They joined Pocono Raceway and Michigan in running doubleheader weekends in the wild 2020 season. In the Drydene 311 race, Denny Hamlin won at the Monster Mile. In the Drydene 311 race, Kevin Harvick won at Dover. It was fitting for the two most dominant drivers to win at Dover and in 2021 both will be searching for their first win of the season.
Key Starting Positions
As things start to return back to normal in the world, a normal race weekend is still not back as there was no practice or qualifying. Row Two will feature two Hendrick Motorsports cars as William Byron will start 3rd and Kyle Larson will start 4th. Rounding out the top five will be Kevin Harvick.
Currently, Martin Truex Jr leads the odds to win at Dover at +350. Kyle Larson follows him with the second-best odds to win at Dover at +450. The third best odds go to Denny Hamlin at +500. Behind him with the fourth-best odds are Kevin Harvick and Chase Elliott at +700. Behind them is Kyle Busch at +800 odds to win.
